Welcome to Peak Gym Ltd. By becoming a member or guest of Peak Gym, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions.
2. Membership Agreement
Types of Memberships
Membership at Peak Gym is available in various forms to suit different needs:
Pay-as-You-Go Memberships: These memberships are available for one month, three months, six months, or one year. The fee for the entire period is paid upfront. We offer regular, student, and senior (above 65) memberships under this category. Valid identification is required upon joining. Students must present a student ID with a valid date. Regular memberships (three, six, and twelve months) include some complimentary freezes. Additional freezes beyond the complementary ones are available for £7, with each freeze lasting up to 30 days.
Class Packages: We offer class-only packages. These packages have specific validity dates and cannot be frozen or extended.
Guest Passes: Non-members can purchase guest passes for one day, one week, or two weeks. These passes include full access to all facilities, classes, and available times.
Corporate Memberships: We provide corporate memberships at discounted rates for businesses and organizations. If you terminate a corporate membership and decide to rejoin, you will be required to pay the joining fee again. Membership freezes are available for £7 per freeze, with each freeze lasting up to one month.
Payment Terms
Fees are due in advance, and late payments may result in additional charges. Once the billing period has commenced, no refunds will be issued for cancellations, changes of mind, or any other reasons.
All membership fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Please be aware that if a member does not use the gym for 5 consecutive months or more, their membership data will be deleted. To resume membership at Peak Gym after such an absence, the member must pay the joining fee again.
Age Requirements
All members must be over 16 to use the facilities and services provided by Peak Gym. Exceptions may be made for those under 16, provided they are accompanied and supervised by a guardian at all times. Minors who arrive without their guardian will not be permitted entry.
Management Rights
Peak Gym reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership to any individual at any time. Additionally, Peak Gym reserves the right to change or update these terms and conditions at any time.
Membership Renewal
Membership may be renewed upon payment of the prevailing fee and in accordance with the terms and conditions in force at that time.
Compliance
By joining Peak Gym, members automatically accept and agree to be bound by these conditions of membership.
Facility Maintenance
Peak Gym may withdraw use of all or part of the gym for maintenance or other necessary work for a maximum period of seven working days.
Entry and Access
All members must scan their fingerprint or face for access to the premises on each visit. Entry is only permitted to those with a valid membership that is current and in credit. Members with outstanding payments will not be allowed entry. Non-members who register to attend classes must check in at reception manually. They are permitted to attend only the class they have booked and are not allowed to use other gym facilities.
Insurance
Members are encouraged to obtain personal insurance to cover any loss, injury, or damage sustained while using Peak Gym facilities, particularly in cases where safety procedures are ignored or refused. Peak Gym holds business insurance to cover injuries resulting from any negligence or fault on the part of the gym. However, by becoming a member, you accept responsibility for injuries or illnesses resulting from your own actions and agree not to hold Peak Gym liable for incidents where safety guidelines were not followed.
Reporting Issues
Members should report accidents, incidents, or problems with services at the gym to reception or email peakgymgib@gmail.com in confidence.
Breach of Rules
In the event of a breach of membership rules, Peak Gym reserves the right to terminate membership with immediate effect and without refund. Any member found committing an illegal act, including theft, will be permanently banned from the gym.
3. Waiver of Liability and Indemnity
I understand and agree that I am legally bound to the terms of the following waiver. As a member or guest of Peak Gym Ltd, I hereby agree to the following:
I, the undersigned, acknowledge and confirm that I am fully aware of the dangers and risks involved in using the equipment, facilities, and programs offered at Peak Gym. I absolve and release Peak Gym Ltd and its employees from any and all responsibility or liability. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peak Gym and its employees from any actions, claims, costs, expenses, or demands arising from my use of or participation in any activity, equipment, facilities, or programs at Peak Gym. Such use and participation are at my own sole risk.
I affirm that I am physically sound and have medical approval to proceed with a normal exercise routine. I have no physical conditions that would be aggravated by cardiovascular exercise, weight lifting, weight training, or bodybuilding. I understand that if I have any medical issues, I should seek medical advice and approval before commencing an exercise program or induction at Peak Gym.
4. Rules of Etiquette
All members must exhibit respectful and courteous behavior towards other members and staff at all times.
Aggressive behavior, including shouting, swearing, or any form of verbal abuse, will not be tolerated.
Arrive at classes at least 5 minutes before the start.
No scrambling for specific spots in classes.
During busy times, superset workouts are not permitted.
Respect the residential area by keeping noise levels low, especially in the early morning.
Always unload bars and return weights to racks.
Do not place weights or bars on painted surfaces or throw, bang, or drop dumbbells and weights.
Do not rearrange gym equipment.
Do not distract other members. Please refrain from making excessive noise such as groaning, roaring, swearing, screaming, or grunting, which can be distracting to others.
Mobile phone use should be kept to a minimum and conversations should be conducted quietly and considerately.
Listening to music without headphones is not allowed; please use headphones to avoid disturbing others.
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment; use a towel during training, wipe down equipment before and after use.
5. Locker and Personal Belongings
Lockers are provided for members and guests.
Lockers may not be used overnight without prior arrangement. If you wish to leave items overnight, you can rent a locker for £10 per month. Please inquire at reception for more details.
Peak Gym reserves the right to empty any locker that is not rented for overnight use.
Peak Gym is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
6. Opening Hours
Peak Gym is open all year round, every day. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 10pm, and on weekends and bank holidays from 9:30am to 8pm. Peak Gym reserves the right to vary opening hours as necessary for proper operation.
7. Guests
Guests are welcome with the purchase of a day, week, or two-week pass, available online or at reception. There is no limit to the number of passes a person can purchase/use.
8. Safety and Hygiene
Before using the fitness facilities, make sure you are familiar with all the equipment and adopt a safe training regime that suits your needs. Upon joining, all members will be offered a free induction, instructing you on how to use the gym equipment. We strongly recommend that this is undertaken.
It is necessary that all members and guests of the gym wear appropriate, clean attire and footwear when using the studio and gym. Suitable sport exercise clothing and shoes must always be worn whilst exercising. No topless training, slippers, or bare feet.
If you feel dizzy, faint, unwell, or feel any unusual pain, then you must stop exercising and inform a member of staff immediately.
Studio users are advised to inform the instructor of any injuries, pains, or concerns prior to the class starting.
Members cannot train in the gym without a training towel. In the interest of hygiene, members must wipe down each piece of equipment before and after use.
Staff Members are authorized to stop anyone from exercising if they are considered to be exercising in a manner that may result in personal injury or injury to others. Users must abide by the instructions of the Staff Members. Equipment and machines are to be used in the manner for which they have been designed. Always follow the instructions and advice notices on display. Members are reminded that use of the equipment is entirely at their own risk.
No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drug consumption is allowed on the premises. Members or guests may not use the facilities of Peak Gym while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or other mood-altering substances. Staff members have the right to ask them to leave.
Water and non-alcoholic beverages in plastic containers are allowed; dispose of litter appropriately.

No helmets or bags are allowed in the gym. Please leave all items in the changing rooms.
Take care of basic hygiene – stale sweat, smelly underarms. Use hand sanitizer/soap before and after your session.
Keep all areas clean and tidy.
9. Bookable Activities
Bookings are only accepted from members whose membership fees are up to date or from non-members who pay upfront. Bookings can be made last minute or up to 7 days in advance.
To attend your class, please register upon arrival at the reception desk at least 5 minutes before the class starts. Entrance may be refused if you arrive after the warm-up has been completed.
If you have an injury or illness that may affect your ability to participate, or if you are a beginner, please consult the instructor before the class starts.
Classes and instructors are subject to change from the published schedule. We reserve the right to restrict a member’s ability to pre-book classes if the member persistently fails to attend booked classes. Peak Gym retains the right to cancel workout classes if there are 3 or fewer people booked in advance.
For personal training (PT) sessions, we respectfully request 24 hours’ cancellation notice. You will be charged the full price for late cancellations (under 24 hours’ notice) and no-shows (booking and not attending).
10. Cancellation and No-Show Policy for Classes
We request a minimum of 3 hours’ notice for cancellations. There is a charge for late cancellations (under 3 hours’ notice) and no-shows (booking and not attending). By making a booking, you accept the following terms:
- Cancel 7am and weekend classes before the gym closes the previous day; for other classes, cancel at least 3 hours prior.
- Late cancellation or no-show: £7 charge.
- Late arrival: £7 charge and no entry.
- Remove yourself from the waitlist if you do not plan to attend.
11. Personal Training
This policy outlines the relationship between you, the client, and the Personal Trainer employed directly by Peak Gym. Freelance Personal Trainers are responsible for managing session scheduling, payments, and cancellations directly with their clients.
Payments
All Personal Training packages must be paid in full before scheduling sessions. Packages are valid for three months from the date of purchase. Any sessions remaining after this period will expire.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please provide your Trainer or Peak Gym with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Failure to give adequate notice may result in the deduction of that session from your purchased package. To cancel or reschedule, contact your trainer directly or call Peak Gym at (00350) 5400 31 38.
Gym Cancellations and Rescheduling
If Peak Gym needs to cancel or reschedule a session with you, we will strive to provide 24 hours notice. If not possible, we will give as much notice as feasible or arrange a session with another trainer.
No-Show Policy
If you fail to attend a scheduled session without canceling or rescheduling, that session will be deducted from your purchased package.
Refunds
Personal Training purchases are non-refundable. If a Personal Trainer ends their contract with Peak Gym, your remaining sessions will be transferred to another trainer. If a Freelance Personal Trainer ends their contract, they may choose to transfer your remaining sessions to another trainer or refund the value of the remaining sessions.
12. Photo/Video Release
I hereby authorize Peak Gym to record my likeness and voice on video, audio, photographic, digital, electronic, online format, or any other media. Peak Gym may use, reproduce, publish, republish, exhibit, edit, modify, or distribute these recordings in whole or in part, in all media without compensation, for any purpose deemed appropriate by PEAK GYM LTD, including promotional or advertising efforts. These recordings may appear in various formats and media available to the public and that may become available in the future (e.g., print publications, videotapes, CD-ROM, Internet, mobile, digital).
I release PEAK GYM LTD from any liability, claims, and demands for any violation of any personal or proprietary right I may have in connection with such use, including all claims for libel, defamation, or invasion of privacy. I understand that all such recordings, in whatever medium, shall remain the property of PEAK GYM LTD.
On occasion, gym photos and videos may be posted on the Peak Gym website, Facebook page, or other social media platforms. Members may appear in the background of these media. If you do not agree to appear in these photos or videos, please inform us immediately during the shoot.
13. Refunds
Payments for goods, memberships, personal training sessions, or vouchers are non-refundable. No refunds will be given for breach of membership rules, non-attendance at booked classes, or after the renewal date for monthly auto-renew memberships.
14. Privacy
We value your privacy. The Peak Gym Privacy Policy is included in these Terms by reference. Please review the privacy policy thoroughly for details on how Peak Gym collects, uses, and discloses your personal information.
15. Amendments
Management reserves the right to amend terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated in advance.
